You must know the importance of having a reliable air compressor in your car if you’ve experienced a flat tire on an empty road. I can feel you because I’ve been through it, and my endless good and bad experiences have made me an air compressor expert.
Concerning my past experiences with an air compressor in my early adulting, I have used multiple air compressors because of no guidance and prior knowledge about the machine’s reliability and brands. But for the last three years, I have used this Viair 90p air compressor and had a good experience with it.
Today, I decided to share my experience with this exceptional quality Viair 90p air compressor. Also, I am excited to share what this product has and how it can make a difference in your life. So, let’s dig into it.

What makes it outstand others?
If you are an office-going person who happens to travel daily, then this air compressor is for you. Why? Because of its duty duration and moderate PSI level. Alongside that, the 90P is a portable option, and I really like the overall build and structure of the compressor.
Also, setting and using it is pretty straightforward. All you need is to attach the press-on chuck to the valve stem, and by connecting the power cables, you get done and ready to inflate your tires.
Furthermore, being a small device, it is convenient to use and fit where ever you want in your car trunk or the seat foot place. Since it is also an oil-less machine and works on the battery, you don’t have to worry about changing its oil or cleaning it.
The size and robust construction matter the most for any inflation air compressor because you have to keep it in the car. And this 90P air compressor accompanies both of these features in its best form.
Product review – Viair 90P air compressor
Operating in the almost maximum number of countries that started 25 years ago. Struggling for the longest I can think of, they have come a long way, though. And are able to make their name with their products that spoke for themselves. The Viair 90P is one of the highlights of the company’s manufacturing quality and aesthetics.
The nicely packed Viair 90P was love at first sight for me, mainly because of its old-school look and colour scheme. The matte black-coloured compressor with silver motor comes with two alligator clamps.
It is more of an old-fashion device perfect for anyone of the same aesthetic sense, and it does work moderately. First, I will discuss the construction and structure of the device then we will move to other aspects. On top, it has a digital analog meter for determining the pressure so that you can see without side bending and rotating your neck making it less complicated.
It has a considerable size squared handle for holding the compressor from the top, and when we address the base support, it has four flat feet. These flat feet are quite enough and good for providing stability and help to avoid vibration when working.
Interestingly, there are some features that I can bet you may have or not experienced before because, being in this field and having used over ten air compressors, I really like these. It features a thermally overload protector, a built-in bleeder valve, and dual battery clamps.
Built-in bleeder valve
The 90P has a built-in bleeder valve that helps you handle it better and perform, placed on the top of the valve. It is a little screw, or it might be integrated into the coil itself. The bleed valve, when turned, enables water to flow out and over the internal diaphragm of the valve.
Performance
It can inflate tires of up to 31 inches in diameter, making it suitable for use in both an occupational setting and in everyday life. If you are worried about how it works, note that it can withstand pressures of up to 150 PSI for up to 10 minutes at a time. This unit comes with a tire inflation line that has an open end and an air pressure gauge that reads up to 120 PSI.
Automatic thermal overload protector
Using a thermal overload protector provides the main motor with effective protection in the event that there is an overload or a phase breakdown. When combined with contactors, the thermal overload protector has the potential to provide a space-saving beginning solution.
Noise level
When discussing air compressors for inflators, there is a common misconception that all of them must be loud. However, this is not always the case. Hence, I did not notice any noise from this Viair air compressor. Also, it is quieter as compared to other models.
Pros:
- Can inflate a 34 inches vehicle tire
- Built-in directed light
- Comes with a bag
- Simple to use and oil-less device
- Comes with one year warranty
Cons:
- Cannot be used for heavy work
Why should you buy this?
The Viair 90P is relatively easy to carry and handle because of the deluxe carry bag and features a carrying handle on top of the unit.
The carrying bag is decently made in black and has enough space to carry your compressor and its accessories. It was a plus point for me because I easily get annoyed with unorganized things, be it a tool or my clothes.
The 90P also includes additional components such as; an inline fuse holder, a power cable that is 12 feet long, and a heavy-duty sand tray that has vibration isolators. It also features a deluxe carry bag, a 3-piece inflation tip kit, a 120 PSI air pressure gauge, and a 5-foot air hose that has an open-ended air chuck.
Final words
Along with the working pressure and performance of the air compressor, there are multiple factors and features mentioned that play a major role in choosing any air compressor.
Also, this Viair 90P is a great choice for off-roading, camping trips, bike trips, and other kinds of outings. With that, this was all from my side for this Viair 90P air compressor review.
