You might not have heard about the efficiency of a 4-gallon air compressor before. When I was new in the industry two years ago, it was strange to hear about a 4-gallon air compressor. Having a compressor with 4-gallon might seem like a huge air compressor that can only be used in factories.
But that isn’t the case. A 4-gallon air compressor can be used for home-based tasks, small workshops etc., to get the regular work done, from getting random tasks done to inflating multiple vehicles’ tires.
To get this all done by staying within a budget and never running out of air, Emglo introduced one, and I am here to give you a detailed review after using it daily for 6 months. This Emglo air compressor review will include what’s good and bad in it. So, let’s get into it now:
Contents
What makes it outstand others?
Emglo has multiple features with a strong construction that you can easily see, even in pictures. The components are quite big and sturdy. But first, let me talk about those features. The Emglo has a cast iron cylinder and two tanks. Additionally, it features a handle in the middle that makes moving around the job site simple.
Additionally, it includes a 1.1 HP motor, a sizable air capacity, and excellent air delivery. The gorgeous Emglo compressor can power up to four brads. You must be considering this, so this also includes finishing nailers or twin framing, ceiling, or flooring nailers working simultaneously and without pausing.
While not all compressors are created equal, this Emglo air compressor is suitable for unprofessional and skilled projects. This air compressor can be used for high-end DIY projects, residential, small machine shops, and vehicle repair work. This makes it a perfect choice for a workshop owner, probably even when you love your vehicle and don’t want anyone to fix it for you.
Product review – Emglo air compressor
Built for all, Emglo started and is still operating by importing compressors and tools from the leading manufacturers and staying to its quality terms. Emglo air compressor is a perfect choice for beginners or even professionals. Its easy-to-use interface and simple build make the use straightforward and convenient.
One interesting fact that confuses many, so I thought to mention, Emglo has changed its name recently from Emglo to Jenny air compressors. Moving to the unboxing and testing experience, Emglo has blue polished surface huge cylinders with a handle on top of it that is not linked with the cylinders. So this way, it gets convenient for users to carry it around.
At the back of the cylinders, or when you see them on the side, it is equipped with motors and hoses. Since it is an oil-lubricated filter, you will need to look for maintenance. Meanwhile, it also features an oil sight glass inside the crankcase.
I used it for nailing and inflating my car tire, and it worked pretty well. Also, the compressor’s settings are straightforward. When I used it for my home renovation, all I had to do was plug it in and allow it to run. In a few minutes, the twin tanks quickly filled up to the compressor’s 125 PSI shut-off pressure, which was rather remarkable to operate.
Noise:
The primary drawback of an air compressor is its loud operation, which can be both bothersome to you and troublesome to your neighbors. You no longer need to worry about this with the Emglo air compressor. People ask me if it’s a heavy-duty device but how it is quiet. You must be thinking of that too. Let me tell you that the compressor is solidly built, and large, differently styled feet make it quiet.
Dual soft start valves:
Emglo is equipped with a dual smart start, one leading feature in making this device valuable and expensive. These compressor valves allow gas to flow into and out of the cylinder region of a compressor. So, you can easily work in cold weather, even in freezing weather, where most compressors run out of air. You better don’t need to worry about it and trust what I have just said.
Affordable:
In addition to all the features, price is a key consideration when buying. This Emglo affordability, along with its other qualities, is one of the key factors in its appeal to customers. The job aligns perfectly well with its price.
Pros:
- Great air delivery and storage
- Durable and made up of stainless steel
- Equipped with AC power source
- Delivers 4.0 CFM on 90 PSI.
- Features push couplers for easy operation
Cons:
- A little heavy to carry around
Why should you buy this?
Most importantly, using the site glass, you can quickly check the oil level on the compressor. Don’t forget that it also incorporates a universal push-to-connect coupler for quick and easy operation as well. It also has a twin stack design that increases air capacity without taking up more floor area.
The carry handle is centred and extends somewhat higher so that you can use it without being burned by hot cylinders, which I thought made for ideal portability. I recently discovered that the handle serves as a box for the hose connector and pressure gauges.
Considering Emglo production for big brands such as DeWalt, the performance is also quite good. When filling up the tan for the first time, I thought it would take me from 5 – 10 minutes minimum, but surprisingly I got done in less than a minute, so that was pretty efficient working.
Final words:
Emglo is a famous brand that is known for the manufacturing of good quality yet robust air compressors. Emglo also comes with 1 year warranty period and always responds to customer queries. Meanwhile, the construction is easy too.
I would rate the device as 7/10 but 9/10 for its dual valves and functioning in winter. That being said, it was all from my side, and if you like the product, I wish you good luck and a long journey with it!
