The key to having a comfortable journey comes with your car tires durability and strength. But you never know when it will turn your comfortable and exciting journey into a troublesome one. So, you better be prepared even when using all-season tires that are compatible enough to tolerate extreme weather
A portable small air compressor is what professionals usually advise and also use for their personal use. Having said that, most companies are regularly coming up with small innovative air compressors to use. But not everyone can buy an expensive air compressor even though it is a lifetime investment.
There are multiple alternatives present too in the market that I found pretty valuable and worthy. One of them is this Viair 70p, which I’ve used over the years. To explore and compare it with others in terms of portability and performance, I decided to write this Viair 70p air compressor review. So, let’s get straight into it in the next section.
What makes it outstand others?
Viair 70p is a product of choice of a huge audience because of its portability and quality of the product. The air compressors coming into the market focus more on the number of features but lack quality. This 70p is different with comparatively fewer features but provides you with quality and will also last you for years.
It features a maximum tire pressure of 100 PSI. If you talk about 0 PSI, it generates 1.06 CFM, which is quite good. With a weight of only 5 pounds, it is not overly heavy and can be operated with relative ease.
Moreover, it has a 15-foot cable that gives you enough length to handle it. Alongside, the Viair 70P’s footprint measures 10.5 inches by 6.8 inches by 5.8 inches, which means it doesn’t take up much room and is simple to store.
Product review – Viair 70P air compressor
Since 1998, highly qualified engineered compressors manufactured by Viair have established themselves as the global industry for machines in the manufacture and supply. Viair offers an exceptional oil-less air compressor, and so is the new Viair 70p air compressor that has already made its place in the market.
First thing first, the 70p construction is something I really like and that matches my aesthetics. I firmly believe in the look and structure of the machines. If you like the way your machine looks, there will be more chances that you will enjoy using it.
Talking about the built, the 70P has black matte and silver color with a long black pipe of excellent material that I have never seen before in any of the air compressors I’ve used. It has four sturdy legs for better stability and support when working. The legs are made so that it covers and gives the base support from both sides. On top of the inflator is the analog meter for monitoring the PSI level of the compressor when you are using it.
Apart from the features mentioned, I also like how the compressor is rectangularly shaped, making it look like a decent piece of equipment. Because of its small size, it can easily fit in my car’s trunk without taking up any additional space. This tiny air compressor is fantastic, especially for a vehicle of medium size.
Moving to the performance, it features a pressure gauge with which you can check the pressure in your tires by attaching it to the top of the unit. All you need to do is connect it to an outlet that can handle 12 volts, and you can get started.
Furthermore, with this heavy-duty air compressor, you can quickly inflate the tire by first connecting it to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter power port. After connecting, you will need to attach the twist-on air chuck to the valve stem of the tire and then turn on the device. So far, because of its simple functioning and setup, a beginner can also use it.
Automatic reset protector:
Viair comes with an automatic reset thermal protector that is specialized for stopping the air compressor when it gets hot. This ultimately helps prevent damage and explosion of the air compressor, usually in hot weather, when the machine explosion chances are greater.
The 70P portable air compressor has stainless steel valves and a performance PTFE piston ring and has been covered to prevent moisture and dust. It is ideal for use in outdoor environments. In addition, you will receive a durable carrying bag, three different inflation tips, and a warranty for an entire year.
The Viair comes with a strong carrying handle located above the cylinder that we usually don’t get in Viair 85p and others. Still, this one has a rectangular-shaped handle, with which you can carry it alongside to inflate other tires too. Also, the handle doesn’t get hot, so you don’t need to worry about that.

Why should you buy this?
It is entirely composed of metal and is wonderfully made. Additionally, it should last a lifetime, so you won’t have to waste money purchasing an onboard air compressor to keep your airbags inflated.
Because in addition to performing the work flawlessly, this also has a variety of other applications. It can also be used to blow up balloons, mattresses, and car tires, among other things that can be inflated.
Furthermore, the air compressor is equipped with specific features that many others lack. For example, it includes a 15-Amp inline fuse holder, vibration isolators, 150 psi gauge, and a deluxe carry bag.
People who need a reliable air compressor pump with a long air hose and extension cable should choose the 70P. Because of its features, the air compressor can be used in many different ways and places.
As per my experience, I would rate it as 4.5/5 because it performs all the tasks efficiently, as mentioned by the manufacturers.
